Once, I received a great suggestion:
Take one week off every year and do nothing, or better, anything.
Don’t go somewhere, don’t spend time planning transport or hotel etc. Do nothing or, more specifically, do whatever comes to mind except work for your employer or business.
If you want to eat, eat. If you want to read a book, exercise, meet a friend, play with your kids, catch up on your hobby, or spend time with your life partner, do it; stay precisely where you are at home and do whatever comes to mind.
I have done this twice so far and couldn’t recommend it more. I recharged my batteries more than lots of the vacations I had in the past; the only exception is a trip to Maui, Hawaii, back in 2019.
This advice might look silly, and maybe one week is a lot. Don’t hang on to the number; take four or five days or two weeks. Whatever works for you.
