Asking Challenging Questions

I often ask myself challenging questions. Some are the questions you would confront yourself when looking in the mirror. Some others are related to my surroundings, often philosophical.

Doing this helps me stay humble, stay honest, and keep my head on the ground. Here is a random list of some of these questions:

  • What do I believe today but my past self would have disagreed on?
  • What are the things that blind me because of the place or country I was born in?
  • What are people too afraid to tell me because I might become defensive?
  • What do I consider truth mindlessly?
  • What artificial obstacles do I bring as excuses due to the experience I have gained over the years?
  • Which people do I admire too much?
  • Which people do I dismiss too quickly?
  • What beliefs am I too stubborn to abandon? A great article about this: Mental Liquidity
  • What would I spend my time on if I had enough money to cover my family’s living expenses for the rest of my life?
  • What am I great at but fail to acknowledge it because I focus too much on improving my weaknesses?
  • How can schools prepare children for what is to come if we don’t know what the world looks like five years from now?
  • What would it look like if it was easy [enter anything]? I learned this from Tim Ferriss

Do you have questions you ask yourself as well? I would be interested to know them.
